Facial Aesthetics
At Ffacial aesthetics we aim to individualize the aesthetic needs of each patient.
In facial aesthetics, we recommend, at the end of each dental aesthetic treatment, a final touch-up with Botox, hyaluronic acid, bichectomy or PRF whenever indicated or desired.
Bichectomy
The face has a complex anatomy. Among its multiple and delicate structures are several fat compartments that function as protective cushions. Among these compartments, there is one that extends almost along the entire lateral surface of the face, in a deep plane, from the temple to near the jaw, and is called the Bola or Buccal Bag.
Bichectomy is a procedure that eliminates the bicha balls present in the cheeks with the aim of slimming the face, making it more harmonious, youthful and beautiful.
The surgery is simple as is the patient's recovery.
Lip Repositioning Surgery (CRL) Facial Aesthetics
The exposure of gum tissue when laughing presents an aesthetic problem for some patients. In cases of severe deformity caused by excessive height of the upper jaw, only the Surgery Orthognathic completely eliminates this problem.
Lip replacement surgery is a simple procedure that permanently corrects a mild to moderate gummy smile caused by an upper lip with a high range of motion. It can be combined with stretching of the tooth crown and application of botox for excellent results.
Through a quick and minimally invasive surgical procedure that alters the line of union of the upper lip to the gingival mucosa, the movement of the upper lip is restricted in a full smile, thus substantially reducing the amount of gum exposure when smiling.
The surgical procedure takes about 30 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia. All incisions are intraoral and result in little or no scarring on the inside of the lip. Apart from restricting the movement of the upper lip during full smile, no other effects on the movement of facial muscles or speech are observed.
Botox application
As we age, the normal activity of our facial muscles leads to the development of deeper expression lines, especially around the eyes, lips, forehead and neck.
The application of small amounts of botulinum toxin, or Botox, results in a more youthful appearance, reducing wrinkles without altering the natural expression of the face.
Wrinkles begin to fade on the 3rd day after application Botox. Standardization reaches its maximum potential on the 10th day – when the need for a new application is assessed.
WHAT IS BOTOX
Botulinum toxin – more often referred to as Botox – is a purified toxin that, when injected into muscles, promotes their relaxation.
By decreasing the intensity of muscle contraction, Botox prevents the appearance of new dynamic lines and softens existing ones.
BOTOX IN OTHER TREATMENTS:
For example:
- temporomandibular joint dysfunction
- bruxism
- gummy smile
- trigeminal neuralgia
- tension headache
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?
Botox treatment takes approximately 15 minutes.
Very fine needles are used – which does not cause any pain, just a slight stinging sensation on the face.
HOW LONG DOES BOTOX LAST
The results of Botox application can last between 3 to 6 months, depending on the patient.
The frequency of applications will make the results of the Botox treatment last longer.
If you do not repeat the treatment, muscle movement is naturally restored.
